The Resurrection Power of Jesus is working in us right now!

I Corinthians 15:1-2

Yes, one day we will experience the fullness of the resurrection power of Jesus. We will live in the new heaven and the new earth, we will have a new relationship with God (face to face relationship) and we will have new bodies and new hearts (not tainted by sin). But how about right now? Do we in any way experience the resurrection power of Jesus in this present world? Yes we do! In I Cor. 15:1-2 we are told that the resurrection power of Jesus is right now saving us from the power of sin... "Now I would remind you brothers of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, and by which you are being saved." Paul is saying that future resurrection power is breaking into the present and is right now "saving us" from the power of sin. We are no longer enslaved to sin's controlling power. We will begin to experience freedom from sin, victory over sin and the person of Jesus being formed in us.

Praise God, we are blessed to taste the "first fruits" of resurrection power as our lives are being transformed into the glorious image of Jesus. What a precious gift from the Lord that the same power that raised Jesus from the dead is at work in us today, saving us from the power of sin. To God be the Glory
